Our Story

Founded in 2017 on Washington, DC’s historic U Street Corridor also know as Black Broadway, Lady Clipper Barber Shop is an art-infused, inclusive space owned and operated by Black women.

For nearly a decade, we’ve earned recognition for our impact in both the community and the beauty industry. Our barbers, past and present, carry our mission forward: creating a safe space for women in barbering and delivering premium grooming services for every client.

This is more than a barbershop—this is a movement.
